MARRAKECH DREAMING the splendor of Morocco 2024
"THIS I can tell you from experience ... Morocco will capture your heart.
But you won't realize it until you are leaving." _Lori Patrick
This was my first visit, my next one had even more culture to discover including living in the countryside for a few days at a gorgeous and relaxing villa. I made more local friends to help support future tours, and found more ways to adventure in the Marrakech region. I'm proud to present this carefully designed tour.
We will start travel on October 20 on a 9 day journey beginning in Marrakech where we will live in a beautiful and awe-inspiring Riad - a traditional Moroccan house or palace with an indoor garden and courtyard.
Some of the places in the Marrakech Medina we will visit are Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Jemaa el-Fna Square, Le Jardin Secret, House of Photography.
We will visit Menara Gardens and Lori will be photographing you in a beautiful Moroccan Djellaba or something you shopped for. We will also visit the famous La Mamounia Hotel.
You will shop in the unforgettable experience of the Souk where the possibilities are endless on it's vast corridors of ancient tradition of craftsmanship.
We will take a ride to the awe inspiring Anima Gardens where you will feel the art and mystery mixed in nature. This is so much more than a garden, it's a wonderland.
Some of our Marrakech evening dining experiences will include the excellence of live music Moroccan style along with belly dancing and incredible cuisine. These moments will be some of the best highlights of your visit to the region.
We will take a drive to Agafay Desert on a sunset dinner tour that includes quad ATV driving, a dromedary camel ride, dinner and entertainment, then return to our Riad in Marrakech for a good night's rest.
THE NEXT PHASE: We will retreat into the Atlas Mountains on a tour into the beauty of Ourika Valley while staying 2 nights in this region at a luxurious villa that offers a spa, gorgeous pool, lovely architecture, beautiful scenery and gathering spaces indoors and out. In Ourika Valley we will hike in Setti Fatma, home of 7 Waterfalls and unexpected treasures. We are going to go to a Berber Village to see the wonders of 17th century history in real time. We will visit an argan oil factory where you will learn the secrets of this national treasure through the Women's Cooperative. Then we will dine a leisurely lunch on the river. You will find so many photo worthy scenes, it's more than you might imagine.
And back to the Villa for more time to enjoy the property and prepare for our journey back home. Here, I will photograph you in some beautiful portraits for your Destination Diary.
This place is so beautiful, I chose it for the setting as our studio away from home.
Much of our time will be spent in the culture of authentic Moroccan meals, snacks and nightcaps. We will start every day with a beautiful breakfast in our Riad home. The restaurants we visit will leave you dazzled. The culture is DIVINE!
